The bright red leaves ofAcer palmatum Fireglow have a luminescent quality and the best summer color retention of all upright, red palmatums. An intense cherry glow appears in fall. This well-branched Japanese Maple has a moderate growth habit and a broad crown in maturity, so it is appropriate for shading small courtyards and patios.
