In our trials, I have been particularly impressed with Veronica ‘Iglo’…first, because it lived and second, because it had one of the longest-lasting floral shows. Beginning in May, the multi-branched spikes of pale lavender (appears white) top the clump that eventually reaches 3’ tall. Each spike exceeds 10″ long and continues to open until late summer. We think this is probably a V. longifolia hybrid, but have been thwarted in our Clouseau-like detective efforts. Moist well-drained soils are best for the upright veronicas. If you need an upright spiky form in your garden, Veronica ‘Iglo’ is for you.
